The one thing you always want to do, is size up on your insert size. If the insert is too small, the pillow cover will look saggy. Otherwise, if the insert is too small, the pillow will look saggy and flat.

Pin the squares together, right sides facing. As a general rule, the smaller the size of your pillow cover, the less you have to size up on your insert. Which means that i took the width of the pillow (18 inches) and added 1 inch to it to get 19 inches.
